Top 5 Apps For Parents
Here are the top 5 apps for parents that I recommend every parent to install on his/her mobile device
This is the number 1 most frequently used website on my iPhone as well as my wife’s iPhone. We use it all the day, every day. Some of the common features are:
- Monitoring baby’s feed, sleep, nappy changes
- Monitoring baby’s physical growth
- Recording baby’s milestones
- Creating a yearbook / diary with daily entries
- Medicine log
The app synchronizes rather well so whenever one person adds info to it, the other person can see near-instantaneously.
We use it so often that I plan to dedicate a separate post to this app in the near future
This is a great forum for moms and dads all over the United Kingdom to discuss any and all topics. Have a question, ask away. The community replies very promptly and has been a lifesaver for us in many situations.
Every parent knows how difficult it is to leave home with a baby. It gets even harder if you add bad weather to the equation. Thankfully, there is Babylon to the rescue. It gives you the ability to set up appointments with a GP with a few clicks, and have a video conference with the GP from the comfort of your home.
If you are unwilling to splurge on a fancy baby monitor, or are simply daunted by the dozens of baby monitors on the shelf, try putting your idle computer or tablet to use and install a baby monitor app that works just as well at a tiny fraction of the cost.
The app provides written instructions as well as video tutorials on what to do in case of common ailments such as fever, choking, allergic reactions, asthma attack, bleeding, burns, broken bones and so on. While we hope we never have to use it, it’s good to know that this is one area where you can get help in case of an emergency or get educated in your free time.
Disclaimer: As both my wife and I use iPhones, this post is limited to iOS apps.
